Returns Policy
Your statutory rights: As an online retailer, we are required by Irish and EU consumer law to inform you that you have a statutory right to cancel your order and return goods within 14 days of receipt, without giving any reason. Our own policy extends this to 30 days as a goodwill gesture. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
Returns & Exchanges
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request an exchange or refund. We cannot accept returns requested after this period.
To qualify for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition as when received
- In its original packaging with all labels and tags intact
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Sanitary goods, hazardous materials, liquids, and gases
- Personal care items that have been opened or used
- Gift cards and vouchers
- Items damaged by the customer after receipt
- Items returned incomplete due to the customer's actions
Special Order Items — Including Rifle Chassis Systems
Important: Special order items are non-returnable and non-refundable once your order has been placed with our supplier. Please read this section carefully before placing a special order.
Some items are not held in stock and are ordered specifically from the manufacturer or supplier at your request. These include, but are not limited to:
- Rifle chassis systems (e.g. KRG, MDT, Oryx, and similar)
- Specific stock configurations or custom builds
- Products in a colour, specification, or configuration not held in our standard stock
- Any item marked as Special Order at the time of purchase
Because these products are sourced exclusively for you, they cannot be returned to our supplier once ordered. If you are unsure whether an item is a special order, please contact us at info@beoutdoors.ie before completing your purchase.
This exclusion does not apply where the item arrives faulty or is materially not as described — see the Faulty or Defective Goods section below.
Sale Items
Sale items are subject to the same 30-day returns policy as full-priced items. Refunds for returned sale items will be issued at the sale price paid, not the original retail price.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm receipt and let you know whether your refund has been approved or declined.
Approved refunds are processed within 14 days and applied to your original payment method. Please note that original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or incorrectly sent.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund within 14 days, please check with your bank or card provider first — processing times can vary. If you have done this and still have not received it, contact us at info@beoutdoors.ie.
Faulty or Defective Goods
If your item arrives faulty or defective, email us at info@beoutdoors.ie as soon as possible. In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2022, we will offer a repair or replacement in the first instance. If repair or replacement is not possible, not completed within a reasonable time, or causes significant inconvenience, you will be entitled to a full or partial refund.
Where it is not immediately clear whether a fault exists, the item may need to be assessed by the manufacturer. If confirmed faulty and neither repair nor replacement is feasible, you will receive a full refund.

Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
If you have a concern about your order, please contact us at info@beoutdoors.ie before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider. Most issues can be resolved quickly and directly.
Be Outdoors maintains full records of all orders, including delivery confirmation, order acknowledgements, and customer communications. Where a chargeback is raised in circumstances where goods have been delivered and received, we will submit all available evidence to your card issuer to contest the dispute.
This does not affect your right to raise a legitimate dispute where goods were not received, were significantly not as described, or where Be Outdoors has failed to resolve a valid complaint.
Gifts
If an item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of the return once we receive the item back. If the item was not marked as a gift at the time of purchase, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Permits & Licences for Return Shipments
Important: Be Outdoors does not research, monitor, or advise on the export or re-import licensing requirements of any country. If the item you are returning is subject to export controls, firearms regulations, or any other licensing requirement in your country or in Ireland, it is your sole responsibility to identify those requirements, obtain the necessary permits, and comply with them fully before sending anything back to us.
Export and re-import regulations vary between countries and can be complex, particularly for firearms components, optics, and controlled equipment. Be Outdoors has no means to determine what rules apply in your jurisdiction and takes no responsibility for researching this on your behalf. Initiating a return without first verifying and meeting all applicable requirements is entirely at your own risk.
Your Obligation to Communicate Requirements
Where any export permit, re-import authorisation, end-user certificate, or other document is required — whether it must accompany the return consignment, be declared to the carrier, or be provided to Be Outdoors before we can accept the return — it is your responsibility to proactively communicate this to us at info@beoutdoors.ie before dispatching your return.
Be Outdoors will not contact you to ask whether documentation is required. We will not investigate your country’s export regulations on your behalf. If you fail to communicate applicable requirements and provide the required documentation, that failure is entirely your responsibility and Be Outdoors will not be held liable for any resulting delay, seizure, refusal, or loss.
No Liability for Permit-Related Issues on Returns
Be Outdoors accepts no liability whatsoever for any delay, seizure, confiscation, destruction, or failed return arising from:
- The customer’s failure to obtain a required export permit, re-import licence, or other authorisation
- The customer’s failure to communicate permit or documentation requirements to Be Outdoors
- Incorrect, incomplete, or missing documentation accompanying the return
- Any failure by the customer to comply with the laws and regulations of their country or of Ireland
No refund will be issued for goods that are seized, destroyed, or cannot be delivered to us as a result of missing or invalid documentation. This applies regardless of the reason for the original return and regardless of whether the item is otherwise eligible for a refund.
